Phantom Fireworks Opens Seventh Pennsylvania Location in Shrewsbury

NEW FREEDOM, PA -- Phantom Fireworks, America’s largest consumer fireworks retailer, announced the grand opening of the company’s newest full-line consumer fireworks retail showroom, Phantom of Shrewsbury, conveniently located off Interstate 83 (exit 4) on Wolfe Road.

A 45-minute drive from Baltimore, MD, the new showroom is one of more than 50 permanent showrooms in 13 states for the Ohio-based industry leader, which also operates over 1,200 temporary tent and stand locations in 17 states.

Phantom Fireworks Retail Operations Director Rick Greenfield is thrilled to get the new Shrewsbury showroom open just as the 2009 fireworks season kicks into full swing.

“We’re ecstatic to be in a new showroom in Pennsylvania,” Greenfield said. “Through our experiences in Breezewood, Phantom Fireworks knows that southern Pennsylvania is a great market for fireworks. We are looking forward to working with all the great people in this new area of the state for us.”

Work on the 12,000 square foot facility started in February and was completed by Adolph Johnson & Son Contractors in just three months; in time for the May grand opening. The site for the new showroom was located in 2006 by Phantom.

The new facility will have a three-person management team led by manager Bill Hunt, with four year-round employees. Another 50 employees will be hired on a seasonal basis. Hunt, formerly the assistant manager of the Phantom showroom in Myrtle Beach, SC, is in his 8th fireworks season with the company.

Customers will be excited to learn the new showroom carries Phantom’s full line of industry-leading consumer fireworks.
