Phantom Rolls Out Hot New Products for 2009

YOUNGSTOWN, OH – Phantom Fireworks announced the addition of 42 new products to its exclusive consumer fireworks line, including 12 new 500 gram aerial repeaters, bringing the total number of 500 gram aerial repeaters in Phantom’s line to more than 70, the most of any fireworks brand in America.

Phantom has a purchasing team whose members make 2-3 trips annually to the Hunan Province area surrounding Liuyang City, the famed birthplace of firecrackers. Phantom also maintains quality control and logistics offices in Liuyang and Guangzhou in Guangdong Province.

Some of the new 500 gram aerial repeaters include: Double Take Finale Rack, Kona Gold, Split Decision, Tropic Thunder, Red-Flash Reactor, Legion of Fire and Johnny B. Good.

“Our team in China really delivered the top of the line to us this year,” said Phantom Executive Vice President, Alan L. Zoldan. “It’s a lot of work to continually update the products, but come the evening of the Fourth and after we see the beautiful bursts in the sky, we know why we love our fireworks.”

The 500 gram aerial repeaters, containing the most pyrotechnic composition permitted by U.S. law, must be constructed specially with the launch tubes securely attached to a wooden or plastic base and the tubes being separated by a distance of at least ½ inch.

The X-9 Panoramic Finale 500 gram aerial repeater discharges nine large bursts with top quality sound and color. “The X-9 has drawn great reactions from both our showroom managers and customers,” said Phantom’s Retail Operations Manager Rick Greenfield.

The Double Take Finale Rack consists of nine sequentially fused launch tubes that produce “double-break” effects resulting from two joined shells being fired from the same launch tube. When the joined shells reach the high point of the flight path, the shells burst one after the other producing two separate effects.

The Split Decision 500 gram aerial repeater fires 12 sequential shells, with each shell bursting into half one color effect and the other half with another color effect, such as purple and yellow or red and green,

Phantom has also expanded its 500 gram fountain line. “500 gram fountains were the next logical step in our product evolution,” said Mr. Zoldan. “The results include incredibly long burn times and fantastic new effects.”

The Phantasia Fountain, with a two and a half minute burn time, produces mixed effects with a vivid and unique liquid fish finale.

“It is unquestionably the best use of the fish effect I’ve ever seen,” said Phantom of West Palm, FL, showroom manager Davyd Heasley, one of the Phantom team members who travels to China for product development. “It looks like multicolored lava erupting from a volcano. Families will love this effect.”

The War Drum Fountain burns a long three minutes with multiple effects that include pearls, crackle and chrysanthemums.
