These shells have some awesome effects. I gave these a four because one of the shells exploded like a mine in the tube and because each one leaves burning pieces of cardboard on the ground. If you get these which i do recommend you do, make sure you have a big area with no grass to set them off in. Overall this kit is very good.

These are pretty nice mortars. Since you get more shells than most mortar kits at the same price, they're worth it. Great for a budget show. They have nice lift good breaks. I also like that they lable the mortars so you know what you are shooting.

After a couple boxes of these babies, I had to ask myself, "Why in the world did I spend all that money on all those stupid rockets?" These are GREAT and it really felt like your giving the devil one to think about. Next time I'll reallocate funds to higher end morters..double burst and such for get togethers...Like the wick-on-top design...Better control than rockets. Looked so nice I really didn't want to blow them off. TIP: Use a long "fireplace lighter" to ignite and run. Also a small flashlight to see the wicks help when you lose your night vision, safety glasses are also a nice plus. Not a single dud! I only gave it a four because there is room to grow.

I don't know what Dan from Wisconsin is talking about. Either he had bad luck, or posted his review for the wrong item because these were fantastic. Great height, great size, great color and effects and good sound. Lots of fun.
