CONSUMER FIREWORKS
Specifically Permitted All fireworks meeting requirements of CPSC and DOT Consumer Fireworks definitions, except for small rockets (less than 4 gms propellant, and casings less than ?” x 3 ½” overall length.)
Specifically Prohibited Small rockets (see above.)
Selling Period June 24-July 4 and December 20-January 1
Retail Sale An annual, non-renewable, retail fireworks permit is required for each retail location, $20 fee. Expires January 31 each year. May be purchased from a licensed manufacturer, distributor or jobber.
Age of Purchase 12 years


DISPLAY FIREWORKS
Display Permit Required. Written application to State Fire Marshal at least one day before display date, $50 fee.
Insurance Required, not less than $500,000 general liability insurance.
Special Effects Operator Annual operator’s license fee in an amount not to exceed $100. Applicant must take and pass an exam, if required. Must have assisted in at least five public displays and be at least 21 years of age.


MANUFACTURE, STORAGE, TRANSPORTATION
  State regulations relating to manufacturing, storing and transportation.


LICENSING
  Annual licenses required, including non-residents. Apply to State Fire Marshal, valid one year from date of issue. Retail permittees may purchase fireworks only from a distributor or manufacturer or jobber licensed by the State.

Public Display: Single $50, Multiple $400
