Lighting the Way to America’s 250th Birthday

Dave

Now that we’re past the halfway point of the Summer season and another successful Fourth of July, Phantom Fireworks is not only reflecting on that success, but looking ahead to the next edition. In 2026, The United States of America will celebrate its 250th birthday, and needless to say, fireworks will be at the center of that celebration - just as the Founding Fathers intended.

America’s history is truly unique. It’s brought its own unique set of obstacles, setbacks, victories and teachable moments. For nearly 50 years, Phantom Fireworks has honored that history while making some of our own.

Today, Phantom maintains nearly 100 showrooms in 15 states, along with thousands of temporary locations from coast to coast.

Beyond our company’s nationwide retail footprint, we’ve made meaningful and lasting contributions to the legislative arena that have protected our neighbors and the industry as a whole.

Our genuine love and appreciation for our community have afforded us numerous opportunities to give back through countless philanthropic endeavors that continue to grow each year. In 2024 alone, Phantom Fireworks and The Zoldan Family Foundation gifted more than $5 million to the community, including a major financial contribution to YSU’s Dana School of Music and a $625,000 contribution to the new student center on the YSU campus. It’s just one way we’ve found to give back to the community and the country that has given us so much.

For all the decades our nation has marked its birthday (or any other special occasion) with fireworks, and no matter what else those decades may have brought to our individual lives, we share the common thread of memory-making and nostalgia that fireworks always evoke.

To long for that nostalgia is justified; the future holds a lot of uncertainty in these times. In the face of that, we mustn’t forget that our common threads weave together in a noble, perpetual tapestry. Commemorating a nation’s 250th birthday is an incredibly rare opportunity to come together and forge ahead as we always have.

The Founding Fathers would surely remind us all that the opportunity we have in 2026 is one we should make the most of - John Adams declared the celebration of our homeland’s birthday should be marked with “illuminations”. What better way to light our way forward to the next 250 years and reaffirm our commitment to “a more perfect union” than with fireworks and the sense of tradition and togetherness that always comes with them?
